The very original name of Seven Sows Bourbon & Larder would have all but Ashevillians scratching their heads. This humble valley was born in creativity and so one would expect the restaurateurs involved to show mind boggling imagination in selecting something as important as their establishments name.

In exploring the openings of these new Asheville eateries one uncovers that many of these new places, this one being no exception, are the creations of folks already involved in other local restaurants.
Moore, (of the Blind Pig), Bannasch, (of Zambras and Caughman, (of Pishah Brewing Co.) are behind Seven Sows Bourbon & Larder dedicated to all things Southern Cuisine (weird and otherwise).

Serving dinner only, save Sunday Brunch their locale at 77 Biltmore Avenue showcases a full range of starters ranging from hush puppies to hummus.  Next comes the small plates displaying the gamut from SC Roasted Peaches to Salted Beets, Deviled Eggs to Mexican Sweet Corn. Lastly, there are large plates from Cruze Buttermilk Fried Chicken , Eastern NC Bar B Q Board and more.

Spirits a plenty from the old school, Old Fashion to their famous Southern Belle Punch.  Drop in and see what “new slant of nothing wasted Southern” looks and tastes like.
